I am reluctantly selling my stunning 1979 Fender Stratocaster to raise money for a new career in photography.
This guitar is in an original state (including awesome black scratchplate) and plays incredibly - it is not a collector's piece, but a real player's guitar and as such it has some wear and tear (see photos) which only adds to its appeal in my opinion. It has real soul and sounds wonderful.
It is a hardtail and therefore does not have a whammy bar (I have never felt the need) and as such it stays in tune unbelievably well. The pickups sound great and it was recently set up so has a sweet action. The maple neck is beautifully playable and as a whole the guitar has great character. It has a brand new set of Ernie Ball Regular Slinkys fitted and the electrics are in full working order.
The serial number is S960397, meaning it was made in 1979 in the CBS era. These guitars are becoming increasingly collectable - this may not be a mint museum piece but is an absolute rocker!
Will come with good quality hard case (not original) and a strap (I have a few you could choose from).
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or would like to come and try it out (only if you are serious about purchasing it) - you will not regret it.
The price is negotiable but not massively so.
Thanks for your interest,
